Help to Make Your Relationship Last Forever

There are very few of us who can honestly say we could not use a little help with our relationship. Whether we are just starting out, have hit a rocky patch or are happy and want to know what we can do to hold onto that happiness we can all use some expert advice and an awareness of what we should (or could) do.

In the admittedly ambitiously titled Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Relationship, Alisa Miller endeavours to address exactly this issue. The author here is aware that there are countless books on the market which already tackle the relationship issue through case studies and complex dynamic theories so she has avoided, on purpose, adding to this growing pile of publications. Her book, instead, takes a more practical, step-by-step approach which is designed to allow each of us to find something which we can take away and apply in order to help our relationship work more smoothly and be more fulfilling than it already is.

Seemingly simply written with detailed advice, suggestions and lists of actions which can be applied this is perfect for anyone who really wants to be happy with their partner but is not sure what to do next. The author says that this is not a book that will help you fix a broken relationship, nor is it the kind of book which will be of much use if your relationship is on the rocks. If, however, you really want to know what you should do in order to smooth out the rocky ride of your relationship, or you need to know how you can make your relationship better (and why) in order to feel happier within it, then this is perfect.

From simple advice on how to build a shared history together based on happy memories to tips on how to organise potentially tricky relationship aspects such as finances and DIY, the Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Relationship is accessible, straightforward and so practical that it becomes virtually impossible not to find something which you can apply to your own relationship moments after you have read about it in the book.

Relationships, admittedly, are difficult to get right no matter who you are. Recently celebrities like Cash Warren who cheated on Jessica Alba with Russian model Vera Mishina and popular TV chef Gordon Ramsey who was caught having an apparently seven-year-long affair with ‘professional’ mistress Sarah Symonds have highlighted the problems which can occur even if you are in a seemingly perfect relationship. Warren is with a woman who regularly tops men’s mags ‘hottest woman’ lists and Ramsay has built a £60 million empire based on his image as a family man and father of four.

The public spotlight which recently turned on Madonna and Guy Ritchie who cannot, for instance, maintain their relationship after all the professional help and money they have thrown at it, also indicates that the chances of the rest of us getting ours right just like that are slim indeed.

This book is one of a growing body of literature intended to help and it does so without frills and with the minimum of fuss provided, of course, that you are prepared to take its advice. The rest then, as always, is up to us.
