Let’s face it girls: Nobody beats Edward. He’s kind, caring, loving, handsome, sparkly, romantic, giving, and self-sacrificing. He knows how to make Bella smile, laugh, cry, and live. And he fights for what he believes in. So how do you convince your boyfriend that Edward rocks? Boyfriends far and wide are jealous of Edward: they obviously can’t stand up to him! Their jealousy morphs into hatred of the character-and they didn’t even read the book! Throwing glitter onto your boyfriend doesn’t poof him into Edward. Edward’s first attractive quality is his tormented soul. He constantly fights between good and evil and wants to be good all the time, even though he feels as if his soul is lost forever. Every girl wants to feel as if the guy she’s dating someone who cares about things that happen around him. He doesn’t just live in a world where the sun and everyone else revolves around him. A girl wants a guy who actively pursues a cause. It doesn’t have to be about saving the environment from destruction, but something as simple as wanting to be protective helps.
Edward’s life is Bella. He yearns for her always and even would rather die than be without her. He always wants to protect her and would sacrifice his own life for her. Now, if your boyfriend ever takes this love and overprotectiveness too far then it’s time to find a new beau. If all else fails, then find a bunch of Twilight party favors to decorate your room. This way, whenever he comes visit you he’ll be in Twiland. Between posters and the party favors, he’ll never forget Edwards face and he’ll constantly be reminded of his competition.

Although Edward is a great character, it’s important to remember that you’re with your boyfriend for a reason and you shouldn’t break up with him because he isn’t Edward. But it doesn’t hurt to try and make him realize Edward’s awesomeness every now and then.
